Andreas Kleinert (born 1957) comes from Hamburg, where he studied school music, majoring in violin (with Nelly Söregi) and music theory / composition (with Diether de la Motte), as well as musicology. He teaches music and geography at the Theodor-Heuss-Gymnasium Göttingen and participates as a violinist in several semi-professional orchestras in the region. His oeuvre includes works of all genres, e.g. for string orchestra, instrumental concertos, chamber music in various instrumentations, mainly with string instruments, piano pieces, songs, choral music, musicals, works for school ensembles and big band.
