A half a century ago Watson Forbes arranged a [Rondo] in F-Major (Violin and Piano) for Viola and Piano; it is available again. Helmut Pfrommer has transformed three [Violin Sonatas] (op.12,1, op.23 and op. 30,1) into Viola Sonatas. He also has created a Viola part instead of the Cello part for the [Piano Trios] op.1,3, op.11 and op. 38 (which itself is an arrangement of the Septet). And finally he has arranged the [Horn Sonata] for Viola, based on a version for Cello, which was apparently approved by Ludwig van Beethoven. In 2017, The tireless Helmut Pfrommer also arranged three clarinet and bassoon duos for violin and viola (G/C/B) and also for viola and cello (C/F/B).
