after the 6 sonatas for 2 flutes (violins) op.2, TWV 40:105, TWV 40:103, TWV 40:106
The sonatas are in 4 movements. The two viola parts correspond to the original flute parts octavated downwards. The voices are quite «equal», which allows beautiful duetting in a comfortable viola middle position.
