Interlude I & II, op. 91, for Viola and Piano

These small musical moments, I have originally written for my main instrument the horn. They served me especially for the performance in church services, at festivals or vernissages, where a short piece was desired. The deeper round sound of the horn led me to rewrite the pieces for viola. In order to give the possibility to arrange the piece individually, no or few indications were given. Where they are present (tempo and dynamics) you may also freely adapt and interpret them. I wish you much joy and fun while playing. Ernest Hiltenbrand
